I started my Company Cut Like A Girl , out of necessity for flexibility. I was diagnosed with Cervical cancer in 2015, then again in 2016. Burdened with the everyday Corporate rigger's and stress of the job, I decided to quit the Corporate life of an Analyst and jump into Lawncare. I know... How did I even come up with Lawncare? Well, I saw a void in the industry. I heard women who would complain about being over charged, treated in a stupified manner, and not as a real client to our male counterparts.
I spoke with a woman one night in 2016 who had just gotten divorced and didn't have a clue how to work her lawn mower, didn't know who to call or how much was a good price. I took that as a sign that I could fill that void with Single women, single Mom's and Divorcees' in order to make it more affordable, less painful and stressful. I simply wanted to help empower women while giving me the flexibility I needed in order to go through cancer treatments.
The Company blossomed from there! I gave out 150 cards in Cobb County and surrounding areas. I had some men, but mostly women in need of lawncare services but moreover they simply wanted to support the business. This year I hired two employees and we are doing an average of 17-25 yards a week!
I love to see the faces of my clients after I have worked my magic on their yards. It's a gratifying experience that I love!
I am blessed beyond measure in order to embark on a business that I took on with just a leap of faith!
