Robert has lived and worked in the Tampa area for 5 years. “This place is paradise to me. I just bought an historic 1906 home in Ybor City, and I just love the area. I love living and working in Tampa.” Originally from Stuttgart Germany, Robert grew up Germany during his father's 40 year military service and eventually found his way to Tampa, Florida and started his own landscaping company.
Robert got his start in the landscape industry by way of managing rental properties for a group of investors. “I had to fix them up, and get them ready for families to move in, after a while, I began accepting private clients and grew my business”
And grow his business he did, servicing over 100 clients in one week this season. Robert also offers pool service in conjunction with full service landscape maintenance such as shrub pruning and weeding.
In fact, he even throws in monthly shrub pruning and bed maintenance with all of his weekly customers. “I find when I am on the property each week, it's a little easier to keep everything in good shape, so I like to build ongoing weekly relationships with my customers.”
“When I pull up and a customers lawn is out of control, I look at that as an opportunity to make a friend , I never bill for anything until a customer's job is done and they are happy.”
Robert really enjoys making his Tampa lawn clients happy, but he also believes in practicing a little bit of good karma for residents that are not even his lawn clients in the Tampa area. “If I'm servicing a property and I can tell someone is in a jam and let their lawn get outta hand, I’ll cut their grass for free, times are still tough and some folks need a little help, I believe in karma”
When it comes to earning a customer's lawn business Robert believes I going above and beyond. “I try to offer as much as I can within reason, a lot of lawns in Tampa are not that large, if I can do them on a regular basis I can keep them shining for a fair price.”
Robert’s service area is the core of Tampa. “I like to conectate in Tampa , I will go Brandon area as I have a few customers there. New Tampa is a little outside of my range. Zephyrhills and Wesley Chapel South are a little out of reach, but Ill go there if someone really needs me. My 10 months truck has 46,000 miles on it already.”
