In 2002, SK Services was brought to life by Steven Phillips to help solve people's repair problems and needs. It was important to Steven that this business serve as a catalyst for a change in the industy, that it served to restore public confidence in the industry, and that the employees of the business be treated with respect. Steven picked up the Charlotte, NC phonebook and called over 300 people, asking about their experience with repair services. "It just made sense to me to chat with people and find out what they liked and whaty they didnt like," Phillips' said.
What Steven learned from these conversations was what to avoid and what to provide in a handyman service - they told him how to run his business. Operating in the Charlotte market, Steven meticulously noted and created the system around the lessons he learned over the years. As a result, SK Services has developed comprehensive operating manuals and training systems.
"We have not only developed a system, we have identified and isolated the proper pricing formulas which are necessary to survive in the handyman industry," says Phillips'.
Today, SK Services has broaden out and handling clients up and down the east coast. Together, Steven and the crew, have become a team of passionate experts working on enhancing the future for everyone in the system. The staff of SK Services is focused on solid branding, marketing, public relations, development, training, and customer service.
