Jacob Reid always wanted to start a business of his own. Having worked for a large landscaping company for 10 years, he figured out that the landscaping business is something that he knew. So in 2012, Jacob bought a 60" Zero Turn Radius mower and a 16 " enclosed trailer and C.W. Reid was born.

Jacob was born and raised in Huntersville, North Carolina and plans on sticking around for a while. "All of my friends and family are here so we will continue to keep servicing the fine people of Mecklenburg County," Reid says. "We have some of the best people in the world here."

C.W Reid services all of Mecklenburg County including cutting yards in Huntersville, NC, Highland Creek, Hopewell, Caldwell, Highland Creek, Cornelius, and even mows lawns in Kannapolis, North Carolina. Jacob and his crew are the preferred vendor in The Peninsula Club and Cedarfield neighborhoods in Mecklenburg county.

He has grown his customer base to over 50 homeowners and is looking to expand his business to serve more customers and even looking to take on some commercial accounts as well.

When Jacob mows, he makes sure to take his time and make sure the lawn is perfect. "The reason I get so many referrals is because I go slow and make sure that I cut everything evenly," Reid explains. "Our work is affordable and our quality speaks for itself. We will never leave a customer's home until they are happy."

C.W Reid is not only your regular lawn maintenance vendor but he also does aeration, mulching, sodding, shrub and bush trimming, grading, low level tree trimming, pressure washing, gutter cleaning, planting, and fall/spring cleanouts.

What has kept Jacob in this industry is the love for being outside and will to be his own boss. "I really enjoy making my own schedule and being able to make things more appealing," Reid says. " Being outside and having great customers is just a plus."

He also loves spending time with his wife and 2 kids. Jacob is also a graduate of Hopewell High School on Beatties Ford Rd in Huntersville.
