Hello I started lawn care because of my family business in real estate. It was suggested by colleagues, family and friends to expand upon our brokerage listings and to service homeowners. With every yard I cut it helps me fund my continuous flight training and education. I do hold advanced degrees in Aeronautics, Business and Education, ultimately wanting to pursue a terminal degree. There are two factors that inspired or influenced is a better term for starting my landscaping business. The main factor is our ramping and ever growing real estate market in the Houston area. This inspired my lawn care business. Hawthorne Unlimited started out with real estate transactions on the listing and selling side. To improve the quality of listings we maintained the lawns due to the fact that homes with a well manicured lawn and beautifully decorated interiors "staging" tend to move faster than homes not showing off their best qualities. As a result of maintaining the properties our homes typically sale within the first couple of weeks of being listed. We have been active in real estate for over 20 years but, in 2019 commercial grade equipment was acquired to bridge into regular landscape maintenance. Now we have the capabilities of giving every home owner a show stopping home regardless of if they are listed for sale! The second factor and the one that is most important to me is my flight training. Yes! Hawthorne Lawn Care is a subsidiary under Hawthorne Unlimited (the main real estate division of the company). Thankfully I have the opportunity to acquire more lawns from you to help me pay for my flight training. I was born into the world of real estate and grew up manicuring and maintaining the first element you see in a home being the lawn. I cannot wait to earn your business!
Our work stands out from other lawn services because of the quality we put into each job. At the start of the first service I personally walk your front and back yards to survey your lawn for debris, intricate turns / patterns and from there I build a plan that will leave you with a beautiful and well manicured lawn. With every service we will take care of the mowing, edging, and clean up without additional up-charges for clean up. The intent behind every job comes from our roots in real estate and understanding what every home should look like from the exterior of your home.
My advice would be to find someone that works well with your personality, dynamic and needs of your property. Also find a professional that admires their work and cares for your property as if they were working on their own. Once you find that professional hold on to them.
Contrary to what most believe in regards to the landscaping industry; it is more than pushing or riding a lawn mower here and there. This is a performance based industry and as a professional you have to earn your client's business every week. I love that I am responsible for my own performance and the satisfaction of giving homeowners piece of mind that they can drive up to their home with a beautifully well manicured lawn!
