Michael Connington had been in and around the landscaping business for over 10 years. Having done property maintenance and irrigation when he was younger, he also worked in the restaurant business for several years. In February of 2015, Michael decided to quit everything and concentrate his efforts on lawn mowing and so he launched J&L Lawn Care. He purchased a 48" Exmark ZTR and a 52" Scag ZTR, Echo accessories, and a 10ft enclosed trailer and his lawn company was born.

Having moved from Daytona Beach to Orlando in 2008, Michael and his wife Lashell love the area and don’t see themselves moving any time soon. "I really didn’t think Orlando could get any better than Daytona Beach but boy was I wrong," Michael explains. "My customers, the community, and the local businesses were all supportive so we will be here for a while."

Michael and his crew service most of the Orlando area including mowing yards in Winter Park, Florida, Winter Springs, Longwood, Oveido, East Orlando, Sanford, Lake Mary, Winter Garden, and even cut grass in Altamonte Springs.

With over 50 weekly clients, Michael also services Forest Edge shopping center in West Orlando.

When asked what it takes to earn a customer's repeat business, Michael says, "Guaranteed Satisfaction." He goes on to add, "We will not leave the property until a homeowner is happy. We treat our lawns like they are my own and we try to service everyone at an affordable price. I also am in constant communication with all of my customers and let me know of any delays so we can plan accordingly."

J&L Lawn is not just your regular landscaping company, they will also handle your low level tree trimming, pressure washing, rock and mulch installation, sodding, gutter cleaning, shrub and bush trimming, and fall/spring cleanups.

Michaels love for being outside and working for himself is what keep him in this business. "Also, I love the satisfaction I get when I finish a product and the customer is ecstatic with my work," Connington says. If the customers are happy, I am happy."

Michael is big into sports and loves traveling to hit the beaches in Dayton or South Beach in Miami. He also like to take his wife camping in Salt Springs close to Ocala. He is also a huge fan of the Miami Dolphins.

Michael and Lashell frequent Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen on Semoran Boulevard in Orlando. Michael also graduated from Mainland High School.
