We do have indoor/outdoor dogs, but the backyard is fenced in and they wouldn't be outside at the time of the mow, they are mainly inside dogs.

There’s a fence but it has a pretty big gate. Also the lawn is nowhere near 6 inches high. We are looking for mowing, edging, weed eating along the fence.
