How many years have you been in landscaping business, and what inspired you to get started?
First Due Lawn Care is comprised of current full time firefighters in EBR Parish. We decided it was time to take on the responsibility of having a second job considering we only work 10 shifts per month at the firehouse. What makes us stand out from the competition is that we are responding to emergency calls daily at the fire station. These calls range from high intensity fires and car wrecks to helping elderly people off of the floor, etc. If we can do these things daily on shift, then maintaining your yard is the least we can do. We currently have yards in St. Helena, Denham Springs, Prairieville, Central and other surrounding areas. As of now we cut yards, weed eat, edge and blow until we decide whether to make the move into landscaping. Other services can be arranged on a case by case basis. Firefighters are a melting pot in the civil service world. Most of us like to hunt and fish, go camping and many other things that are popular to the public’s hobbies.
How does your work stand out from other lawn service companies in the area?
Being First Responders, we are called to help the public on a moments notice. Maintaining yards for people is just another way we can aid customers and help in any way that we can.
What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
Baton Rouge, Denham Springs, Central, Prairieville, Livingston, etc.
What do you like most about the lawn care industry?
First Due has employees that previously worked in the plants maintaining the grounds at BASF in Geismar, LA. After joining the fire service it was something they had previous experience in on a much larger scale.
What areas do you mainly service?
Our service stands aside from others because in our line of work, it can make all the difference in the world getting the job done right the first time, in an efficient manner.
