I have enjoyed the outdoors for as far back as I can remember. As a child during the hot Florida summers I would play outside from sunup to sundown. As an adult I would kayak for miles up and down the Florida waterways, searching always for more reasons to be outdoors where I found the greatest amount of peace.
Naturally, 16 years ago, I began to work outdoors on my property, transforming my entire yard from a dust bowl to a beautiful Florida friendly landscape. As many of my neighbors complemented my work, it became clear that I could do this type of work and actaully like it. One of those compliments came from a neighbor who operated his own landscape business. He one day challenged me to go out with him to see what the business was really all about. I was impressed by the meticulous way they went about manicuring property after property all day. I knew this was something I wanted to do for myself. That day lead to years of my going out with my neighbor, paying careful attention to the skills of the trade; that's how I got started in the landscape maintenance business 14 years ago. I can truly say that I learned from a great group of guys.
My hobbies seem to compliment my profession. First, I'm an outdoors man. So doing labor intense, detail-oriented, work in the hot Florida summer energizes me and motivates me to be the best landscaping company in Tampa, Florida. Secondly, I love fixing things. So I quickly got into repairing lawn equipment, researching and studying best landscape practices.
So when I bought my own equipment, I knew exactly what I needed and why. I run only top brand commercial equipment. All my hand-held equipment is stihl. I use riding mowers. I have a Gravely 34 and a Gravely 48.
I like the lawn service business because it provides me the space to be outdoors and make a living.
