How many years have you been in landscaping business, and what inspired you to get started?

Chris Cafiero has been in the landscaping business for over 30 years. Born and raised in Long Island, New York he developed his love for landscaping at a very early age by helping his parents keep his childhood home property immaculate. His mother has a very strong passion for flower gardening, while his father taught him about all about installing lawns, lawn maintenance and planting trees. Once Chris was old enough he started venturing out knocking on neighbors doors looking to cut their lawns. By doing this, Chris had established a consistent lawn route. Chris continued cutting his neighbors lawns until he graduated high school, which at that time Chris had decided that he wanted to enter the US Navy. Chris served in the US Navy as an aviation machinist mate for 4 years working on jet engines. After 4 years and being honorably discharged by the US Navy Chris returned home to Long Island to pursue his passion for landscaping. Chris had built himself a successful landscaping business, which involved lawn maintenance, landscape installations, and tree pruning and removals. He continued to operate until his 3 children graduated high school and ventured out on their own. It has always been Chris”s dream to relocate to Florida after his children were on their own. After selling his home and business in Long Island, Chris has now relocated to Land O’ Lakes, Florida permanently and is looking forward to pursuing his passion of keeping properties in Florida looking great!

What do you like most about the lawn care industry?

I like the gratification I get from a freshly mowed lawn and leaving my customers satisfied and worried free.
