How many years have you been in landscaping business, and what inspired you to get started?
I started working weekend for my uncle when I was 10 years old. At age 16 my dad started his own gardening business and I started helping him grow. When I turned 17, in 2001, I started Exquisite Landscaping and always kept really busy with only landscape jobs. All my finished work I would pass down to my dad so that he could continue the maintenance on those properties. From June 2007 to September 2010 I moved to Los Angeles area but did not like the type of jobs there, so I decided to come back to Fresno where I started Exquisite Yard Maintenance. Thanks to God we've been really steady with work and still offer landscape service to new and existing customers. I always try to keep up with new fertilizer, herbicides and irrigation products that come out to the market.
How does your work stand out from other lawn service companies in the area?
I pay attention to small details and try to keep everything very clean. Some of my customers say that they think I have OCD lol, just because I try to keep everything neat. I'll ask my customers about 3 times a year what they think about my work and if there is anything I need to improve and of course I'll work on any feedback that I receive.
What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
Look for reviews online and most important follow your gut instinct. Don't be afraid to ask questions about your own property, for example why is my m lawn looking like this, how do you get rid of weeds on lawn, what do my plants need for them to look better.
What do you like most about the lawn care industry?
What i love most about my job is that I am an outdoor type of person and I try to treat every property as if it was my own. That's the reason I came back to this job, I can give my kids a better life style than what I could work an 8-5 job.
What areas do you mainly service?
We service Fresno, Clovis, Madera, Fowler, Reedley, Parlier, Hanford, Sanger and any small town in between
