Hernan Polera has always been in or around landscaping. Having been born in Argentina and raised in Puerto Rico, he was always working around the garden at his family farm. As a child, he knew that he wanted to do something that involved landscaping. He has now called Winter Park, Florida, for over 10 years. Hernan worked for a larger landscaping company but in the spring of 2013, he decided to venture out on his own and so he started Modern Lawn Care. "I knew that I wanted to start my own company so I started saving knowing that my time would come," Polera says.

Hernan and his crew service most of Orlando including cutting grass in Winter Park, Florida, Pine Hills, Longwood, Lockhart, Windermere, Lake Butler, Gotha, Hiawasee, Olieda, Winter Springs, Altamonte Springs, and even mow lawns in Apopka, Florida.

Modern Lawn Care is not only your go-to when it comes to regular lawn maintenance but they also handle shrub and bush trimming, planting, fall leaf cleanup, tree trimming, garbage removal, garage cleanouts, mulching, sodding, gutter cleaning, pressure washing, and bush clearance.

Hernan has grown his clientele to over 50 homeowners and he attributes his quality of work and his customer service to that growth. "We are always up front and honest with all of our customers. We always do our best work and will never leave a yard until the customer is happy," Hernan says. "We know that the only way to grow in this business is from recommendations from our current customers so we will go out of our way to make sure everyone is taken care of to the best of our ability."

Polera credits his love for being outside and his appreciation for seeing a finished product as reasons why he loves this industry. "I have always been the outdoors type and enjoy creating something that looks better that what was there before," Hernan explains. "What is even better is seeing a customer's expression when they see our finished products."

When Polera is taking a break from the mowing life, you can find him either fishing at the Cocoa Beach pier or spending time with his girlfriend.

Hernan and his girlfriend love going out to Jimmy Hula's in Orlando, Florida and also frequent Mello Mushroom on International Drive.
