Get lawn care in Arlington by

First let me say, I absolutely love what I do. I worked in a very high pressure corporate environment and decided to follow my passion. With that said, I take all feedback seriously and expect a resolution if there is a descrepency. I work and understand my customers are consumers that work for their money and want to get value out of how they spend tgeir hard earned money. As for this review from the above customer. I wish I could screenshot the conversation and picture of the edges. I spoke to this customer before accepting the job. A picture of the patio was sent and we were asked to make sure to weed eat around the patio. I responded and advised we certainly will. I also advised the weeds were weeds not grass, so once we weedeat the weeds should be sprayed with weed killer to prevent from growing back quickly. The customer advised he would get the weed killer. My crew and I arrived early. I noticed the left side of the yard next to the house was very high greenery that was predominantly weeds. No worries, I want to always provide a good service so I cut it with no additional charge though my mower continued to stop because of the wet tall (over a foot grass). We then cut the backyard on a level 2, we did not want to scalp the lawn. We weed eated/edged the patio and left about a 1 inch gap between the grass and the patio. As we were packing up to leave a woman came out of the house on the back patio and asked me to ask "him", my partner, to cut the grass next to the patio shorter. I advised it was as short as the mower would go and the edge was clean, but we can use the weed eater to cut that grass for an additional $10. She looked shock, so I gave her the same advice I gave the co-customer, get some weed killer to kill the weeds because it is not grass, it's weed and will grow back dang near overnight. I gave her my recommendation of brand of weed killer and a natural alternative as well. She then said she was selling the house and paused...not sure what the remaining of her sentence would be, but that was all... we are selling the house. I asked if they had a buyer, she said no. I then thanked her and began to leave. She then came to my vehicle as I was leaving to ask if I saw a wire they use to keep their gate closed. She said she took it off before we came. I advised I had not seen it. I walked the gate door area with her and did not see it. She advised she puts it on top of the gate. I am 5 feet even on a good day, so I definitely would not have seen the wire nor been able to reach it. I thanked her again then left. This morning when I logged into the app the first message to appear in red showed that the customers payment method did not go through and I should contact the customer. At 8:07 am I used the apps quick link to text which generates a generic message to the customer. I updated the portion that states we are on our way to advise the customer to use a bank transfer option to pay for the service. At 7:20 pm, I sent the same message with added verbiage to say, if the bank transfer option is not available, we can come by to get cash tomorrow. I also added since we were coming to collect face to face, I would like an additional $10 for "collecting". The customer responded that he pays through the app so no need to nickel and dime. I responded with a thank you and advised the app advised to contact him. The customer then advised that the app did not say harass. I sent a screenshot of the message from GreenPal. The customer then advised "I will pay the $xx.00 when you go back and weed eat the patio". My 2nd to final response was "apologies, I just did not get a response from the message earlier". My final response is this message. It is really poor customer behavior to not pay and deliberately attempt to ruin someone's reputation which creates inability to work and whatever other responses that may come. It is with a sad heart that this interaction was poor due to the customer not understanding that I value myself, my work and take accountability for all actions. Additiinal work/service (cutting twice) is additional pay. Yes even a small container of secret sauce costs extra because it is valued (by the company) and valuable (to the customer). You get what you pay for but in this case, you are attempting to get free service. That will not happen, if you read all of this thank you. I will not let a story/lie/narrative be given about my work. I will never nickel and dime when it comes to my value, but I will dollar and bill.
