Real Experiences From GreenPal Orlando Users
I had to hire a second service, as the first company didn't work out. But the second company we hired (Dirty Hands, LLC) did a very nice job. Very respectful of the property. Did his job with no fanfare and left. The service was easy to use, payment is a breeze. Will continue to use this service.
They did an amazing job! They made it super easy to book and kept me updated on their arrival. I will use them again when needed.
Bernard is very nice and professional. I will definitely call for him again should I need more work done.
I wish I knew this sooner.

Leaves on Your Lawn
and Grass
Leaving thick layers of leaves on grass can block sunlight and trap moisture. Local pros typically recommend removing heavy leaf buildup before extended wet periods to reduce the risk of lawn damage. Light mulching can help, but it depends on coverage and grass type.
Local timing tip: Clear leaves before wet periods to prevent matting
Fall Leaf Cleanup Timing in Orlando
Fall leaf cleanup in Orlando typically starts in mid-October and continues through late November, as trees shed leaves in waves rather than all at once. Most homeowners schedule one to two cleanups during this period, depending on tree density and weather.
On average, 14,257 lawns are cleaned up in the Orlando area by GreenPal pros, at an average cost of $35 per job
For many yards, the best timing is:
-
Late October
for the first cleanup to prevent heavy buildup
-
Mid to late November
for a final seasonal cleanup
If leaves are left too long, they can trap moisture, block sunlight, and create slippery surfaces on walkways and driveways.

Hi, this is not the first time I’m reporting that the gate at this property gets damaged by the person who does the lawn because they don’t bother themselves to get out of the Lawn machine to open the gate. They just forced it with the machine. They have damaged the lock we have replaced it twice and it got damaged again. I have told the guy multiple times that they need to do a proper way but unfortunately this time they damaged the whole door gate and I need this to be repaired by you guys because it is done by you guys, and this is very expensive and if it doesn’t get fixed by you guys, I will report this. It is not fair to be so careless and just damaging the gate because they don’t want to take extra minutes to get to the door and open it manually without forcing it with the machine and as I said, this was not the first time it has happened multiple times that I have approached the guy that comes there, but unfortunately, not only they didn’t stop at this time. They complete the damage that door from the gatethat needs to be fixed by you guys.
Amaizing Job I’m Really happy you’re vey professional. I will let you know for the next appointment.
I‘m extremely pleased with the landscaping work completed on my property. The team was punctual, maintained excellent communication throughout the entire process, and treated my property with great respect and professionalism. I highly recommend their services to anyone looking for reliable and professional landscaping work.
Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about Leaf Removal in Orlando
How much does leaf removal cost in Orlando?
Prices vary based on yard size, but most Orlando residents see bids ranging from $100 to $450. The final price depends on whether you want them bagged, mulched, or hauled away.
Is there a minimum fee for leaf services?
Most local pros have a service minimum (often around $75) to cover travel and equipment setup for small lots.
Does leaf volume affect the price?
Yes. A yard with "ankle-deep" leaves requires significantly more man-hours than a light dusting.
Can I get a free estimate for leaf removal near me?
Yes, listing your yard on GreenPal triggers multiple free bids from local Orlando vendors within hours.
Is an hourly rate or a flat fee better?
Flat fees are standard on GreenPal, so you know the exact cost before the pro starts.
Should I mulch my leaves or have them hauled away?
This depends on your lawn's health and your budget. Below is a quick breakdown to help you decide:
| Feature | Mulching (Eco-Option) | Hauling (Full Removal) |
|---|---|---|
| Primary Benefit | Natural fertilizer; improves soil | Instant "spotless" curb appeal |
| Cost | Lower (usually part of a mow) | Higher (labor + disposal fees) |
| Time | Fast (single pass with mower) | Long (blowing, bagging, loading) |
| Lawn Health | Boosts nutrients; suppresses weeds | Prevents mold; lets grass breathe |
| Best For... | Light to moderate leaf cover | Heavy leaves or pine needles |
| Limitation | Can't handle wet/thick leaf mats | Loses the natural "free" nutrients |
Do you haul away leaves or just blow them?
Most Orlando pros offer both. You can choose to have them blown to the curb for city pickup or hauled away for an additional disposal fee.
Is leaf blowing enough or do I need full leaf removal?
If you have a wooded area, blowing them into the tree line is enough. For manicured lawns, full removal is better to prevent the wind from blowing them back.
Do leaf removal pros bring their own bags?
Yes, Orlando vendors generally bring heavy-duty bags, but it’s always good to confirm in the app chat.
How fast can I get leaf removal service near me?
Through GreenPal, most users in Orlando can get a pro on their lawn within 24 to 48 hours of posting the job.
