Real Experiences From GreenPal Phoenix Users
We are very pleased with Jason's work. He came in time, did a great job and our yard looks terrific. We'll be using him again.
Went above and beyond to make sure my job got completed when they said that it would despite whether issues and equipment issues. Lawn looks great! I look forward to having you back!
It's nice to be able to get some good quality bids quickly.
He was very polite and respectful. He did a good job overall.
Met our expectations and more. Very appreciative of The Lawn Barber and looking forward to continued service. Thank you again!
I wish I knew this sooner.
Excellent services for getting my yard taken care of professionally with genuine care!
the person that cut my lawn did a excellent job. His work is far better than I am able to do. He has become my lawncare person. He is prompt, courteous, friendly and skilled.
Due to overseeing and a recent freeze my grass grew too tall for my electric mower. The mower I hired was the lowest price that responded, and he was very good at communicating what day he would come out. The grass was cut properly and looks good afterwards considering how it looked before.
This was a really neat way to try out local service providers to find the best fit without any long term commitment.

Protect Gutters and
Roof From Leaf Buildup

Leaves on Your Lawn
and Grass
Leaving thick layers of leaves on grass can block sunlight and trap moisture. Local pros typically recommend removing heavy leaf buildup before extended wet periods to reduce the risk of lawn damage. Light mulching can help, but it depends on coverage and grass type.
Local timing tip: Clear leaves before wet periods to prevent matting
Fall Leaf Cleanup Timing in Phoenix
Fall leaf cleanup in Phoenix typically starts in mid-October and continues through late November, as trees shed leaves in waves rather than all at once. Most homeowners schedule one to two cleanups during this period, depending on tree density and weather.
On average, 55 lawns are cleaned up in the Phoenix area by GreenPal pros, at an average cost of $40 per job
For many yards, the best timing is:
-
Late October
for the first cleanup to prevent heavy buildup
-
Mid to late November
for a final seasonal cleanup
If leaves are left too long, they can trap moisture, block sunlight, and create slippery surfaces on walkways and driveways.

Did not show up when he said he was supposed to and lied about mowing my yard gave me a picture that wasn't even to my house
I am paying for the service because it’s the right thing to do since the work was technically done. However, I stand by my statement that this servicer is not qualified to do lawns. While I said my regular lawn equipment could be used, I did not anticipate the servicer not even bringing a lawn mower for a lawn mowing service. I will not be using this service again and plan to move to a different servicer all together. I do not appreciate the retaliation by the servicer against me for filing a complaint with GreenPal about the service either.
Terrible. I scheduled biweekly appointments after my first mow and both subsequent appointments have been canceled claiming the servicer didn’t schedule. This is inaccurate as I have the proof of biweekly appointments being scheduled. The service I received was also terrible the one time the appointment was followed through.
Great service!
Thank you for a good job
Good job!
Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about Leaf Removal in Phoenix
How much does leaf removal cost in Phoenix?
Prices vary based on yard size, but most Phoenix residents see bids ranging from $100 to $450. The final price depends on whether you want them bagged, mulched, or hauled away.
Is there a minimum fee for leaf services?
Most local pros have a service minimum (often around $75) to cover travel and equipment setup for small lots.
Does leaf volume affect the price?
Yes. A yard with "ankle-deep" leaves requires significantly more man-hours than a light dusting.
Can I get a free estimate for leaf removal near me?
Yes, listing your yard on GreenPal triggers multiple free bids from local Phoenix vendors within hours.
Is an hourly rate or a flat fee better?
Flat fees are standard on GreenPal, so you know the exact cost before the pro starts.
Should I mulch my leaves or have them hauled away?
This depends on your lawn's health and your budget. Below is a quick breakdown to help you decide:
| Feature | Mulching (Eco-Option) | Hauling (Full Removal) |
|---|---|---|
| Primary Benefit | Natural fertilizer; improves soil | Instant "spotless" curb appeal |
| Cost | Lower (usually part of a mow) | Higher (labor + disposal fees) |
| Time | Fast (single pass with mower) | Long (blowing, bagging, loading) |
| Lawn Health | Boosts nutrients; suppresses weeds | Prevents mold; lets grass breathe |
| Best For... | Light to moderate leaf cover | Heavy leaves or pine needles |
| Limitation | Can't handle wet/thick leaf mats | Loses the natural "free" nutrients |
Do you haul away leaves or just blow them?
Most Phoenix pros offer both. You can choose to have them blown to the curb for city pickup or hauled away for an additional disposal fee.
Is leaf blowing enough or do I need full leaf removal?
If you have a wooded area, blowing them into the tree line is enough. For manicured lawns, full removal is better to prevent the wind from blowing them back.
Do leaf removal pros bring their own bags?
Yes, Phoenix vendors generally bring heavy-duty bags, but it’s always good to confirm in the app chat.
How fast can I get leaf removal service near me?
Through GreenPal, most users in Phoenix can get a pro on their lawn within 24 to 48 hours of posting the job.
