Greg Lay had always wanted his two children to be hard working and teach them the value of earning their way. Little did he know that when he helped them start their lawn mowing business in St. Louis, he would eventually have to leave the corporate world behind to run the family business. And this is how Cutting Edge Total Lawn Care was born. "When my son left for college, their business had gained traction so I decided to make the leap from the corporate life," Greg explains.

After working for Purina and being in the credit card terminal repair business, he knew that his true calling was being outside and working with his family.

Having lived in the suburbs of St. Louis most of his life, he now loves working in the local communities.

Cutting Edge Total Lawn Care now services Chesterfield, West County, and St Charles County.

Not only will Greg handle your regular lawn maintenance, he will also handle your pressure washing, gutter cleaning, shrub and bush pruning, mulching, fertilizing, low level tree trimming, mole and squirrel removal and relocation, snow blowing and ice removal in the winters.

Greg attributes various characteristics to his company's growth and success. "We make sure we show up on time, maintain quality work, and be kind and courteous," Lay says. "There is also a sense of integrity that you have to take with every job you do. We even give our homeowner tips for improving their property that they can do themselves," Lay boasts.

When Greg is not out serving his community, you can certainly still find him outside. Whether it is camping with his son, canoeing the Meramec River, or turkey hunting in Farmington, Missouri his children will be close by. He is also a St. Louis Cardinals season ticket holder and also an avid St Louis Blues fan.
