I’ve been in this business for a little over 11 years now. basically I found my interest in it after I started mowing my elderly neighbors lawn, within a few weeks I acquired several lawns from members of her church. Then her land lord asked me if I would be interested in taking care of routine lawn care maintenance and similar work orders. That offer resulted into being a major stepping stone in developing the knowledge and experience I use in my business everyday.
I see all the other companies preach about time being money as they rush through their jobs as they try to zip right through to the next property on the list , that usually results in missed spots, uneven cuts, ruts, property damage, ect. Simply put quality isn’t one of their highest priorities, and if they don’t prioritize the quality of their work then it’s safe to say that making their customers happy scores just as low in their eyes. I too believe that there needs to be a certain level of quickness but it should never be at the cost of quality. From the very beginning, I’ve held customer satisfaction, quality of work, and reliability at the absolute highest standard possible. Because it is the customers that are paying their hard earned money to have their lawn serviced by a professional. And that’s what I set out to deliver every day to every one of my customers I put my heart and soul into every property i service.
just be courteous, by picking up your yard prior to your pros arrival especially any toys or dog waste, and please keep your dogs locked up until they leave as well. you can’t imagine how much those little things are appreciated.
I love the Lawn Care industry for a great deal of reasons. My favorite is I get to be outdoors, under the sun on beautiful days which is where I always get peace of mind. I’m a huge outdoorsman. Also who don’t love a brand new mower, there’s always more to learn it’s an industry that is constantly evolving with technology whether it be the equipment upgrades or new techniques that there are to try. It keeps things fun, interesting and exciting for me really.
I mainly stick to the lawn mowing side of things which comes with trimming, edging and blowing. I also do seeding, fertilizing, and lawn treatments and chemicals (all natural and organic) and I also do mulching and yard cleanups.
