The small community of Owings Mills is an unincorporated community. It is a census-designated place in Baltimore County, Maryland. The small town of Owings Mills is a suburb of Baltimore. With a small population of around 30,622 according to the 2010 census. Home to the northern terminus of the Baltimore Metro Subway Owing's Mill had previously housed the Owings Mills Mall that is until its closure in the year of 2015. Owing's Mill is still home to the Baltimore Ravens' headquarters facility. And In the year 2008, CNNMoney.com named Owings Mills number 49 of the "100 Best Places to Live and Launch.” One of two suburbs of Baltimore to make the list.
According to the census of 2010, there were approximately 30,622 people held in 12,525 households in the census of 2010. Additionally, the population density was 3,189.8 people per square mile. The rate of housing units was 13,282 housing units, making them have an average density of 1,383.5 per square mile.
Out of 12525 households, 29.0% had children under the age of 18 living in them, 37.5% were headed by married couples that also lived together, 16.1% had a female householder with no husband present, and 42.1% were non-families. An astonishing 33.2% of all households were made up of single individuals, and some 7.1% had someone living alone that was 65 years of age and beyond.
