XXX,XXX and counting keep their lawn in great shape with GreenPal. Others wait in the corners, wondering what app might connect them with a lawn care professional they can trust. Whether you're a current user signing in to chat with your lawn care team or someone curious to learn more, I wanted to share four superpowers of the GreenPal app.
These are features that set us apart.
All of the apps I'll mention connect you to a lawn care professional. Since we all check that box, I won't go into too much detail because I've already compared us to apps like LawnStarter and Lawn Love. Plus, you can read our reviews yourself on Trustpilot. We're sitting at a rating of 4.6 out of 5, an "Excellent" rating according to their TrustScore calculation.

Two of our recent five-star reviews speak volumes about the ease and simplicity of booking a great lawn care company with the GreenPal app.
The app serves its main purpose of connecting you to great lawn care professionals. But here are some features you may not know about.
Gifting Lawn Care To Friends and Family
Tons of people use GreenPal to gift lawn care to friends and family. Many use it to help their elderly parents who live out of state so they can receive excellent lawn care from a trusted provider.
Other apps can do this, but the strength of GreenPal is its simplicity. Rather than having to sign into another account, we allow you to manage your family or friend's account all in one place (I'll touch on managing multiple properties soon). Here's how easy it is:

2. Check out quotes by entering the address of where the service should be completed. |
3. Select the lawn care service provider that best suits your loved one’s needs, taking into account the service provider’s reviews, ratings, and pricing. |
4. Once the service is completed, you will receive a picture of the finished work from the lawn care company. |
The process makes finding service for your loved one and yourself easy.
A couple of weeks ago, a GreenPal user living in the Voorheesville, New York, shared with a fellow group member asking about lawn care for her mom how she uses this GreenPal superpower:

Switching Service Providers
We have a great system for connecting you with the best lawn care companies on our app. But nothing's perfect. Sometimes people don't match your vibe. Other times, opinions don't align. And yes, sometimes the lawn care company you choose doesn't meet your needs. Whatever the reason, we make switching service providers 1) easy, and 2) possible.
Not every app gives you the power to choose a new provider. For example, when you have an issue on Lawn Love, their app has a "Fix the Issue" feature (similar to our process), alerting your lawn care professionals of the issue. Here's their FAQ write up:
"The Pro will have 24 hours to respond and agree on a day to come back and resolve the issue at your property. In case the Pro is unable to fix the problem, we will find an alternative Pro to return and fix the issue."
Wait. Who finds the new company? Lawn Love. Just double-checking.
That's why it's a GreenPal superpower. Most of our competitors don't put you in the driver seat. This can be frustrating — especially if you've communicated your expectations but aren't finding the right fit.
We approach things a bit differently. First, you'll cancel your appointment using our "My Schedule" option, where you must cancel each appointment individually. Then, you're going to go to the main page and find the option to "Get New Quotes" at the bottom of the screen.
Each company is different, so you might see a rate change. We don't control the pricing or availability of the providers on the app. Also, one-time mows are not an option. All that said, your GreenPal account allows you two free bid requests per year.
That's the magic.
Make sure you clearly communicate your expectations with the new company you choose. Setting expectations helps everyone get on the same page.
Managing Multiple Properties
Circling back now. I told you earlier how you can manage multiple properties using GreenPal. Other apps can do that, too. But ours is streamlined. You can switch between properties once you add them to your account.
This is a huge plus for real estate investors and rental property managers. Trying to find great lawn care companies for each of your properties would be a hassle without this feature.
Let's do some math. Based on my experience, it can take up to three hours to land a great lawn care company for just one property. Between calling each company, searching their sites (if they have one) looking at reviews, and gauging their capabilities, you'd be spending a ton of time. Most property managers who use GreenPal manage at least two properties. That's six hours of your day back.
Plus, we help you keep track of each company's contact information and handle payments.
We've made it simple. Click "Add A Property" within the account menu. If your properties are close, you can just hire the same service provider for each property. Send them a message and let them know you have other locations for them to tackle — this may end up saving you money if the company offers a bundle discount.

Showing Your Lawn Mower Some Love
Some of our competitors recently added this feature to their apps last year, but it's been our superpower from the early days. Before we started GreenPal we were out there running our own lawn care companies.
It's hard work.
Most of our app users absolutely love their lawn care companies. They've developed great relationships with them and they notice that they're often going the extra mile.
We made a place where homeowners can tip their service provider. All you have to do is navigate to the "Bonus / Tip" section and set up an autotip that you can send to your company each time they come out to mow. Of course, you can turn off this feature or give a one-time tip, but it's a great feature to thank your lawn care team.
