GreenPal’s latest platform data shows homeowners are booking more lawn care services this season, even as fuel and fertilizer costs continue to rise across the industry.

New GreenPal data shows homeowners are booking more lawn care services this season.

Over the last 30 days, GreenPal recorded 329,655 total bookings, up from 214,979 in the previous 30 days. That is a 53.3% month-over-month increase. The average appointment value moved only slightly, from $44.82 to $45.22, which suggests the growth came mainly from more jobs being booked, not from a major increase in price.

The busiest markets this month were St. Louis with 16,440 bookings, Nashville with 14,234, and Atlanta with 13,929. They were followed by Orlando at 11,016, Houston at 11,014, Chicago at 9,958, Indianapolis at 8,311, Charlotte at 7,430, Columbus at 6,969, and Cleveland at 6,938.

That kind of jump usually means the season is kicking in fast. Homeowners are getting ahead of grass growth, locking in service, and trying to get on a route before schedules get tight.

What Homeowners Should Know

For homeowners, the message is simple. More people are booking lawn care right now than they were a month ago.

That matters because when booking volume jumps this much, the best providers can fill up fast. Waiting too long can leave fewer good options, fewer open time slots, and less room to compare.

The other thing that stands out is that average appointment value barely moved. Bookings were up a lot, but the average job price only ticked up slightly. That tells you this is more about seasonal demand picking up than a big pricing jump across the board.

GreenPal said the latest numbers show that lawn care is moving into a busier stretch in many markets. Homeowners who book early usually have a better shot at finding a provider they like before calendars start filling up.

"We see this every year when the season starts to turn. Homeowners start thinking about curb appeal, grass starts growing faster, and the phones start ringing. What’s different is how quickly it can move. When demand picks up this fast, the smart move is to get on the schedule early."
