New GreenPal data shows Nashville leading the country in lawn care growth, with bookings up 1,758% in the last month as spring demand surges across major U.S. cities.

GreenPal, the online marketplace that connects homeowners with local lawn care professionals, reports that Nashville was the fastest-growing lawn care market on its platform over the last month, with bookings rising from 1,267 to 23,556, a jump of 1,758%.

The new city-by-city data shows that spring demand is rising sharply across several major markets. Atlanta posted the second-largest increase in bookings, climbing from 1,924 to 18,108, up 841%. Jacksonville rose from 1,229 to 7,355, up 498%, while Fort Worth grew from 1,605 to 9,386, up 485%.

Other cities also posted strong gains. Houston grew from 5,505 to 17,795 bookings, up 223%. Orlando increased from 5,014 to 16,116, up 221%. St. Petersburg rose from 1,482 to 4,696, up 217%, while Tampa increased from 3,670 to 10,696, up 192%. San Antonio also posted solid growth, rising from 2,261 to 5,392 bookings, up 138%.

Strong revenue gains matched the growth in bookings in those same markets. Nashville led again, with revenue increasing from $140,641 last month to $1,105,831 this month, a 686% jump. Atlanta followed with revenue growth of 754%, while Jacksonville rose 534% and Fort Worth climbed 505%.

GreenPal said the data reflects how quickly homeowner demand can build when spring weather starts to turn in many parts of the country. In warmer and transitional markets, homeowners often move fast to line up mowing service and recurring appointments once grass growth picks up.

What Homeowners Should Know

For homeowners, the main takeaway is that demand can build quickly in spring, especially in markets where mowing season ramps up all at once. That can tighten appointment availability and make it harder to lock in a preferred lawn care company if booking is delayed too long.

According to the data, more homeowners booking services, rather than just higher prices, drives growth. In several of the fastest-growing markets, booking volume jumped far faster than average appointment value. That points to stronger seasonal demand rather than a sharp change in pricing alone.

Not every city followed the same pattern. Richmond was the only market in this dataset to post a decline in bookings, slipping from 1,167 to 1,110, down 5%. GreenPal said that kind of variation shows why lawn care remains a local business shaped by weather, seasonality, and market-specific conditions.

"“We always see demand pick up when the weather starts to warm up, but some cities move a lot faster than others,” said Bryan Clayton, CEO of GreenPal. “Nashville saw a big jump this month, and Atlanta was right behind it. To me, that says homeowners are getting ahead of the season and booking service early. If demand is rising in your market, waiting too long can leave you with fewer good options.”"
